Which hotel charges qualify for rewards?

Rewards are earned on Eligible Charges, which are defined in detail in our Terms of Use.

In general, Eligible Charges shall include the below, not including taxes and fees:
  • Room-only rates
  • Package rates
  • Upgrade fees
  • Early check-in and late check-out fees

For consistency among all partner hotels, all public-facing rate types and promotional codes are eligible for rewards per the terms of The Guestbook program. This includes BAR/RACK, promotional rates and qualified rates such as AAA and local/state resident discounts. 

Private negotiated group or corporate rates may NOT be eligible for rewards, and are at the hotel’s discretion. If the hotel wishes to exclude a rate, they must provide exclusion details to The Guestbook in advance of guests completing their reservation, in order to properly suppress the cash rewards messaging for a particular group/corporation. Please provide rate/promo/group code, direct booking link, and check-in/check-out dates to your Customer Growth contact.
